Ethics is a value derived from Ethas which means custom or character. Ethics of librarianship, an essential element of the library profession, denotes the conduct and behavior of those who adopt the profession. A librarian is called the guide, philosopher and friend of the wise and uninitiated alike. As a duty of the librarian, should follow the second law of library science. Librarian should seek ways to provide the necessary materials for users.
Literature Review
Kennedy (2004) examined in his thesis entitled “Using behavior and socioeconomic conditions of the users of the Central Public Library District Tiruneleveli” said the availability of sources and library services would improve the economic conditions of users of Central Library Tirunelveli District Public. The study revealed that most users were satisfied with library services and structure. The researcher suggested that the construction of the library could expand the use of multiple users and parking could be provided for vehicles. The library can be completely computerized.
Ramesh (2004) examined in his essay entitled “Performance Evaluation of library resources Karnataka State University and services: a fundamental approach that the university library’s collection of library professionals to evaluate and assess” ease of use library resources, taking into account the large amount of investment in the acquisition of information resources and labor costs in managing the activities of the library.
